I'm TWO!

We celebrated my 2nd birthday at Costa Sands Resort (Downtown East). Mommy chose Winnie the Pooh as the theme because it was difficult to find my favourite Elmo's party decorations. There were Pooh gift bags, Pooh balloons, Pooh streamers, Pooh birthday cake and even the gifts and candies in the bags have Pooh on them (^-^)

Mommy's proud creation

I was so excited by my beautiful cake that I gave it a little 'pat'. With my left hand coloured with jelly cream, I looked at everyone bashfully as they sang me Happy Birthday song. Then I blew the candle and cut the cake with a little help from daddy and mommy.

I tried to lick the yummy-looking jelly cream off my hand, but grandma's strong hands appeared out of no-where and cleaned my hands thoroughly... what a dumper! I soon cheered up when I was given a big piece of the cake, with all the yummy-looking jelly cream (^o^)v

A wet and fun afternoon

Daddy and mommy threw another party for me the next evening so that I would not be overwhelmed with too many guests. It also gave daddy and his colleagues a chance for a cozy get-together.

Meet my hair stylist - June jie jie

This lovely cake was chosen because I was born in the year of dog.

I had to entertain the guests, posed for pictures, handed out gift bags, eat yummy cake, play... YAWN... being Two is hard work... Zzzz

Thank you uncles, aunties, kor kor-s and jie jie-s for sharing my birthday joy.

A very special Thank You to:

- Grandma for cooking lots of yummy food, and cleaning up when the rest of us were partying;

- Uncle Eric for going out of his way to chauffeur us;

- Uncle Clement and Aunty Cera for helping in many ways;

- June Jie Jie for giving me a trendy hairstyle, and doubled up as chef cum waitress.

What's in thy name?

I had a nasty boo boo from a fall in the playground last week. Mommy pasted a pretty sticker over my boo boo and told me that it will help my pain pain to go away faster.  It also prevents me from hurting my boo boo accidentally. Mommy called the pretty sticker 'band aid'.

Mommy's pretty 'stickers'

This morning, I saw a boo boo on mommy's face. Never fear, Doctor Ray is here!

I chose a pretty band aid and pasted it carefully over mommy's boo boo. Mommy smiled but removed the band aid when she thought that I was not looking. I chose another pretty band aid and help mommy to paste it. Again, she removed it on the sly.

Mommy realised my confusion when she saw me staring at the band aid in my hand (stickers) and the band aid on my boo boo. She gave me an apologetic hug but refused to let me touch her boo boo... I mean: pi-m-ple...

Aye Captain!

When I saw mommy and daddy trying to pack our house into two luggages, I happily thought that we were going to chalet...

Imagine my excitement when I saw a big big ship, with lots of rooms, restaurants, game arcade, show theater and even swimming pools! We were on board Superstar Aquarius! Being my first overseas trip, I was sooo thrilled. Daddy says that we will be going to two countries... WOW HOO!!

Can you guess from my fascinating expressions what was the first thing I did on board?

Pic 1: Poo Poo...

Pic 2: Feeling shy after poo poo because everybody was looking at me...

Day Two: We had to wait for a boat to ferry us to Penang in Malaysia. I fell asleep during the long wait. Then it was shopping, shopping and more shopping. BO-ring. No kor kor to play with either because our parents did not shop together. After shopping, we had to wait for the boat again to bring us back to the big ship. What else could I do but to nap (-.-)Zzz

Day Three: We are going to Phuket in Thailand... Hurray... \(^o^)/

First stop: Cashew Nuts Factory. There were many different flavoured cashew nuts - such as chilli, chocolate, garlic, honey, sesame... just to name a few. My favourite is chocolate flavoured. Yummy yum...

Ever wondered where does cashew nuts come from? On the left is a Cashew Nut Tree and on the right is a Cashew Nut Fruit. The small 'c' at the bottom of the fruit is a cashew nut. Cool, huh?

Next: Wat Chalong. Now, this is no ordinary temple. This was where my daddy had prayed for a baby and I arrived soon after. My elated daddy brought me back to give thanks. Mommy believes that all babies are angels sent by God, so maybe I was a Thai angel?

We had ice cream at Swensen's while Uncle Clement and Aunt Cera went for a relaxing massage. Daddy ordered two kiddy ice cream because kor kor and me wanted the toy trucks that came with the ice cream. However, we refused to eat the ice cream and they ended up in mommy's fat tummy.

Kor kor was plucky and looked forward to the elephant ride but I was flustered. One look at the giant ears flapping under my feet was enough to send my tears flowing. It took me a while to calm down and just when I started to enjoy the ride, it ended...

Day Four: Our daddies and mommies left us to play in the Child Care Centre while they try their luck at the Casino. Kor kor and I had fun jumping from bean bag to bean bag, playing tug-of-war with the stuffed toys and watched the nice aunty made bracelets out of blue strings for our wrists.

The swimming pool was small, but we had a great time splashing water with our daddies and mommies. They made up all kinds of funny games just to make us laugh (^-^)

Day Five:
Home sweet home. Cruise was fun. I loved waking up to find daddy's not working and kor kor's just next door, ready to play. It's also a great way to bond. I hope we can go on holidays together again.
