Home Sweet Home

My daddy named me Ray when I was a tiny baby bump because mommy had a difficult pregnancy, and I was at risk. They held onto the "ray of hope" that I would survive, and here I am — their little ray of sunshine!

My Chinese name, 奕翔, means "healthy" and "flight" — a wish for me to reach for the sky.

Tiny fingers, tiny toes, and a whole lot of love.

My cousin, Jeremias Coen Willmott Kai Xuan, was born on September 13, 2006 — 74 days before me. Because of this, I call him "Kor Kor," and I know we'll be the best of friends.

My clever cousin, June, is also my godsister.  When Mommy complimented Jeremias kor kor's name, June jie jie quipped, "Yeah, just wait till he's eighteen, in National Service, and his officer yells, 'Recruits, drop and give me [number of letters in his name]!' Now that's cool!" 😆

My first bath was a chaotic adventure! Mommy, with Grandma's patient help, bravely attempted to clean me, but I whimpered in protest.

Daddy's 36th birthday was a cozy home affair, as Mommy and I couldn't venture out. June jie jie kindly bought a delicious-looking cake for him — a shame I couldn't partake, being toothless!

Mommy jokingly claimed I was his birthday, Christmas, and Valentine's Day present all rolled into one. Daddy, however, wholeheartedly agreed that I'm his most precious gift.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!
